ABOUT Anatomy and you

You may not have realized it at the time, but when you enrolled in an anatomy course, you were really signing up to learn a new language. Like many spoken languages, the language of anatomy uses vocabulary from several other languages, and successful anatomy study requires the student to become comfortable with this vocabulary. The good news is that languages aren’t learned through memorization — language skills are acquired by recognizing and applying patterns which manifest as the vocabulary grows and becomes more complex. Even better news is that you already know more of this language than you might think!
